BOX NOW Packaging Requirements

The SENDER must pack the packages in both internal and external transport packaging that reliably protects them from damage that may occur under normal risks during handling, transportation, loading, and unloading. Commercial packaging is not suitable for transport! The company does not transport shipments sensitive to low or high temperatures.

Individual packages must be placed by the sender into a larger, sufficiently sturdy cardboard box. Cardboard boxes must not be overfilled. Each item in the package must have individual internal packaging that prevents mutual contact. The individual internal packaging must protect the item from damage and prevent damage to the rest of the contents in case of breakage, spillage, crushing, etc.

Fragile items in the package with liquid or creamy contents must be individually wrapped in sturdy cardboard shaped to fit the item to ensure good sealing, without gaps, and the additional packaging for the entire package must be waterproof. Items must not move freely within the external packaging of the package. Suitable internal packaging must be used to wrap and seal individual items in the package. Fragile products must not be in contact with the external packaging. The external packaging must be securely closed, with all edges reinforced with adhesive tape. The packaging must protect the items throughout the entire transport.

The packaging must be suitable for handling by loading and sorting machines, and "Fragile" labels are not a substitute for good packaging, but serve only as information.

Fragile products made of glass, ceramics, or cosmetics:

Such items should be individually wrapped in several layers of sturdy paper and several layers of bubble wrap, along with a suitable separator made of styrofoam, rigid cardboard, or other appropriate material that isolates the item from others and from the external packaging. Small cosmetic products must be placed in individual packages made of three-layer corrugated cardboard. Cosmetic products in containers with a pump or cap, including perfumes, must be additionally wrapped in tightly fitting thick nylon that prevents damage to the mechanism and potential spillage. The external packaging must be a new box made of five-layer corrugated cardboard, additionally reinforced with transport foil.

Pressure:

Adequate packaging, in any case, refers to both external and internal packaging, whereby external adequate packaging is moisture-resistant five-layer cardboard or an identical material that retains the shape of the packaging. As the packages are stacked on top of each other during transport, they protect the package so that it can withstand a pressure proportional to five times its own weight - never leave empty space in the packages, but fill it with suitable filling.

Glass containers (bottles, jars, etc.):

Specialized packaging designed for such products with appropriate characteristics is used. These are cartons designed for the appropriate type and number of bottles, made of reinforced cardboard, with necessary spacers and closures that absorb transport loads.

Electronics:

These products are fragile and sensitive during transport. They must be sent in special factory packaging that is reinforced and has necessary spacers and closures that absorb transport loads. The external packaging must be made of reinforced cardboard.

Liquid products:

Special transport containers that do not leak liquid should be used. These containers must be individually wrapped with protective foil or wrapping. The containers should be round in shape. External atmospheric conditions must be considered when deciding on the transport of liquid products.

Signs of inadequate or insufficient packaging:

  • The packaging is deformed or torn
  • There is visible leakage of liquid from the package
  • The package lid opens without force
  • Adhesive tape is peeling off and the contents can fall out or be accessed
  • Fragile materials are sent with inappropriate internal packaging
  • The packaging does not withstand static loads 4-5 times greater than the package's own weight
  • Packaging that does not protect the item from normal atmospheric conditions (cold and heat, light, humidity, etc.) is insufficient. Packaging must be compatible with the nature of the goods and their handling by loading and sorting machines.

The sender must ensure that all packages meet the following requirements:

  • The packaging must be sufficiently reliable to protect the item.
  • The packaging must not consist solely of polyethylene film or nylon, as there is a risk of scratching or breaking.
  • The packaging must provide internal and external isolation of the item from mechanical damage.
